Noel Robinson Architects was commissioned to design the new The QUT Health School at the Kelvin Grove Campus.
A number of different schools were needed to be housed in the one complex.
The four storey building was designed to terrace down the northern slope of the campus and overlook the sports playing fields.
This project was designed to sit in context with existing recent buildings which as a composition take the form of a hillside village.
It consists of five reinforced concrete framed buildings with a total area of 12,000 m2. The external skin of the building incorporated layered facades to improve climate control.
The building's connector spine is suspended through lush landscape gardens.
These buildings house the complete Queensland University of Technology Faculty of Health incorporating research, public clinic and educational facilities including the schools of: Podiatry, Optometry, School of Public Health, School of Human Movements and the School of Dance.
