Rockhampton Airport was designed to contribute to the city’s emergence as a tourism and commercial pivotal point. The design’s willingness to seek out an alternative produced outstanding results.

The terminal’s winged roof and expressed steel frame provides an appropriate and memorable image of the city.

The terminal is a remarkable story of telescoped activity, and was designed, developed and completed in just 11 months.
